Production Milestone
Lucid Motors celebrates a significant milestone as the first Lucid Air Sapphire sedans have started production at the AMP-1 manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, Arizona. This marks the beginning of customer deliveries, sparking anticipation among owners eager to experience the sedan’s remarkable performance.

Supercar Performance
The Lucid Air Sapphire stands out with its impressive specifications, boasting a staggering 1,234 horsepower and 1,430 lb-ft of torque. This four-door hypercar is poised to compete with the most exclusive quad-motor supercars, promising exceptional performance that could outclass its rivals.

Drag Race Dominance
In a notable drag race last year, the Lucid Air demonstrated its superiority by defeating formidable competitors, including a Bugatti Chiron, Tesla Model S Plaid, and Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 superbike. With a remarkable 0-60 mph time of just 2.1 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 9.1 seconds at 157 mph, the Lucid Air has set high expectations for future drag race videos.

Pricing and Market Position
While the Lucid Air has garnered attention for its performance, its initial sales faced challenges. The company addressed this by adjusting the pricing of all sedan variants, making them more accessible. However, the Lucid Air Sapphire remains in supercar territory with a starting price of $249,000, positioning it significantly above its competitors.

Production Growth and Financial Health
Lucid Motors has experienced positive growth in 2023, including a partnership with Aston Martin and the establishment of its second manufacturing facility, AMP-2, in Saudi Arabia. The company is on track to produce over 10,000 vehicles this year and has delivered 1,404 units, contributing to revenue of $150.9 million. Lucid Motors currently holds $6.25 billion in reserves, ensuring financial stability as it progresses into the production of the Gravity SUV, set to be unveiled in November.
